UNGRATEFUL SICK HUSBAND THANKS GOD INSTEAD OF WIFE FOR NURSING HIM BACK TO HEALTH

$
0
0

Dear Editors,

I wish to get this off my chest. I'm so sick and tired of my selfish and ungrateful husband who only thinks about himself and his God.

Tell me how do you feel as a NON-Christian, when you slave for the family, work everyday just to earn money because your spouse refuse to share his money, and put my family interest above mine. But after all I am a human being, so doing all these sometimes make me very depressed....and angry with life...

My spouse was diagnosed with Cancer since 2009 ....Instead of thanking His Lord for giving him a good Wife for taking Care of him...He said it is GOD who healed HIM....GOD did mircale to him....

What about the DOCs who cure him....???
Who empty his bag of Shit when he had to carry a temporay bag of excretion...???GOD???
Who sponge him when he has high temperature??? GOD???
Who went to search for medication when his tongue is infected with uclers and fungus...??/GOD???
Who goes to the market early morning to ensure he gets fresh food....???God??
Who accompany him for his medical appointments???...GOD...

I tired of HOW GREAT he think of his GOD. IF I do not do above endless things/tasks for him...he thinks he can get well? Somtimes I feel like running away...and LET his GOD handle it...

NOW I just want to nurse him back....and WE Get go our separate way. Throughout the 18 years of marriage....I cannot think of anything Great he has done for me....I am always the GIVER ...and he is the RECEIVER...He is obesses with his money and now HIS MIGHTLY GOD...HE is willing to wake up early to serve GOD , instead of help me run daily errands...

I just so TIRED and FED UP. But as a Buddhist , I know it is not RIGHT to leave him now....But it is important to let his mother and all his siblings know why I refused to convert to Christian. What he has done to me did not touch me to convert to Christian. All he has given me is mental torturing.

I told his Family members , I am a time BOMB ...anytime can explode...For now , I can endure...I endure...I never quarrel with him...my GIRLS know my sufferings. I told them learn from Mummy mistakes and do not repeat....

SICK LEAVE IS OUR ENTITLEMENT, UNFAIR TO JUDGE PERFORMANCE BASED ON MC TAKEN

$
0
0

Dear ASS,

The number of sick leave each employee gets annually is supposed to be an ENTITLEMENT. Every employee has the right to be sick and take medical leave as and when is necessary.

Therefore, I find it appalling how any company or employer could judge the performance or abilities of the men based on the number of days he/she took MC. You’re sending out a wrong message to the people- that those who are more susceptible to injuries or people with low immune system are less capable than healthier men and women with regards to work.

Employer also got no right to interview why men take MCs especially if the number taken is BELOW the annual limit set. They got no right to question if men are malingering, that’s the job of qualifed medical doctors and doing so would only undermine their expertise and judgment.

They got no right to penalize employees (e.g. low performance bonuses) or deny career progression in any form (e.g. contract renewals) or even compare abilites with another employee, by virtue of the medical leave records alone.

If you’re sick, don’t force yourselves. We are not superhumans. We have the right to be sick.

COMPLAINT: GLORY CLEANING SERVICES SHORT-CHANGE THEIR CLIENTS AND HELPERS FOR OWN PROFIT

$
0
0

Dear A.S.S,

I want to complain about Glory Home Services, after bad reviews online, they have since changed their name to Glory Cleaning Services. Their own website only posts good testimonials.

Firstly, the helpers are not really trained, if you are lucky you get someone who knows what they are doing. Otherwise, you are training them in your own time because the agency is clearly just an introducer, they do not train, e.g. do not hang wet things on wooden chairs; and e.g. dust the room before cleaning the bedsheets; and NOT change the sheets first then dust the room; and it's funny, she does not wipe the dust, she just dusted it back into the air; no wonder i have a sneezing fit.

Secondly, their helpers do not really have employee welfare, e.g. no medical, no insurance, no leave without pay etc. And you thought you would feel glad to pay nearly $19-20/hr rate, thinking well, you pay for what you get right? I thought the helpers were getting the full amount because when I first engaged Glory Cleaning Services, they claim they only take the agency fees but the helper takes home the rest of the pay. But not really, I hear they take quite a cut, at least $5/hr off their pay. So they really have some unhappy workers really. Because clients expect a clean house for paying reasonable money, but their workers do not get any at all. And they even come come when they are sick, becuase well, otherwise no pay at all.

Thirdly, Glory Cleaning Services are not really as charitable as they portray themselves online to be, winning awards and stuff. You feel bad for the helper's situation and maybe recommend some friends to them to help clean their houses, but no, Glory wants also a cut off their bit less than $20/ hr pay, causing one of them to quit Glory Cleaning, and therefore quitting on me. Of course their workers are not very happy. Come on, give the helpers more of their money, do not fight with them over engaging another person

Fourthly, when you end up having certain issues with helper like, petty theft in the house, DO NOT expect the agency to act as the middle man, true that people do discuss helper behaviours directly, but when you need an escalation, do not expect anything from them.

Finally, the business owners are not very fair. As and when they like, they will change the agreed terms of the initial contract. Initially, before engaging them, we have asked for a quote on a certain number of work days and number of hours and even mentioning we need 5 pcs of ironing a week, based on their quote we agreed and engaged their services.

So when they ran out of replacements (because their helper decides to earn the full $19-$20 herself from her own found recommendations from my other friends), they will suddenly, in his words, "suggest increase the number of hours / day" because of ironing. And then because you are not willing to suddenly pay a different price, you will back out yourself, and save them the problem of finding a replacement for you.

Hello? It is not as if we suddenly require ironing, we have required it since the beginning of time. And then force you to a corner to have to disengage their services, and end up having to pay another agency fee to another company.

For your mental health and trouble-free, DO NOT engage Glory Cleaning Services, suggest paying your money, more or less, does not matter

I ended up having to source and pay another agency fee somewhere else.

HELP! MY HUSBAND HAS A VICTORIA SECRETS' APP ON HIS IPHONE!

Hi all,

This sounds silly. My daughter was playing games on my husband's phone when she saw the Victoria's Secret iPhone app. He told her it was for mummy.

I am disturbed. Is he ogling at all the models? I will buy Victoria's Secret lingerie regularly myself to surprise him but is it necessary for him to have the app? He only likes me to wear Victoria's Secret lingerie...

Am I just plain insecure? People say I look good and dress well. But I feel as I am
Inching near the big 40, the women around me are getting younger... Hub doesn't ogle at other women when I am with him. But once
In a while, he will say passing remarks , 'nice' (referring to an Italian lingerie advert), 'she is quite fleshy', 'she dresses like she is going on stage' to certain women. Some of my friends ogle together with their spouses.

Am I just too uptight? What should I do?

MILLIONAIRE ANG MOH SHAMED HOTEL STAFF BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T GIVE HIM A FREE COFFEE

$

Dear All Singapore stuff,

Yesterday, a man took a video of me just because I couldn't give him a free cup of mocha to go along with his morning wake up call as he has a meeting with the CEO of SIA. In the first place, it wasn't even my fault that I can't give a FREE mocha. The thing I don't understand is why he has to throw a fit and take a video of me just because I couldn't give him a FREE mocha. He was also threatening me that he will not be staying with our hotel anymore and he has better choices of hotels to stay at.

After all that drama, I did a research on him and found out that he was a former chief scientist for Amazon and now he owns a big company(which I will not mention). I can simply just tarnish his name but I will never stoop as low as him just because of what he had done to me. In the end, he bought himself a cup of coffee in the morning which cost him only $5.90.

Its amazing how rich and well educated he is but just because I'm not able to give him a cup of free mocha, he decides to take a video of me to tell the world about my shitty service. Yes, it really demoralised me the way he talk to me really upsets me. It has affected me a lot. I have never shared about my incident but this really has to be shared with everyone.

1. If you want people to respect you, you have to be respecting them first. Respect has to be earned and not bought with.

2. If you are not happy about anything else but our service, DONT take it out on us. We are front liners BUT we have feelings too. We are not robots or slaves.

3. You have to understand that by us saying we cant give you what you want, it obviously means that we don't have the authority to give you even if we want to! True, you paid a lot BUT you are NOT paying us! We don't wanna get into trouble just because you DEMAND free things.

4. Treat us like how you want to be treated. Like mentioned, WE ARE NOT SLAVES!

5. Learn to appreciate us! We have sacrificed a lot of our time and even sleep, just so you all could have a safe and good sleep in Singapore.

6. And its about time that the company should actually take action when their staff gets physically or verbally abused. Its about time, that the company stand up for their staffs!

WP: IF MOE ASK TEACHERS TO PAY FOR PARKING THEN MINDEF MUST ASK REGULARS TO PAY FOR PARKING TOO

$

According to WP's Pritam Singh, he said that if MOE requires all teachers to pay for parking within the school compounds, MINDEF should also make all SAF regulars and NSmen pay for parking within camp compounds.

"Going by this logic, MINDEF must require all SAF regulars and NSmen to pay for parking in army/military camps. The Government should leave the status quo as it is and allow our teachers to do what they do best. So many of them stay back to help students - why indirectly penalise them?"

Do you agree with him?

DAFT SINKIES STILL BLIND TO FACT THAT PRC ALIENS ARE TAKING OVER OUR COUNTRY

Dear ASS Editors,

This is my take on the 'reflection on GE2015'. Those who voted PAP has still not woke up to suddenly find that their neighbors to the right, to the left, above and below their flat , are ALL PRCs. They still think they are the majority but the population profile is shifting and one day they will realise they are actually living in China not Singapore. They are everywhere - in the park during my morning walks, hawker centres, bus drivers, condominiums dwellers, pedestrians...everywhere.

There are more fights and commotions around Singapore nowadays, wondered why? Please do not get me wrong, I do not 'hate' PAP. In fact, I used to vote and support PAP without question. Then I realised the truth of what Mr.Chiam See Tong has said about "absolute power". It can be a dangerous situation left unchecked.

How many PAP ministers live in the heartlands to feel the impact of their policies? Do they take public transport? Did they feel the cost of hawker food going up, PUB bills, telecom bills, some even avoid hawker centre as the cost per meal keep going up.

Healthcare and now COEs as well on cat.D. All these add up and can put a lot of pressure that can result in social tension and even violence. Hopefully, Singaporeans can see the far reaching impact of their votes in the future. So should it be a surprise when HDB is still trying to go to the circus with WP in AHTC? sigh...

CHILDCARE REFUSED TO REFUND DEPOSIT MONTHS AFTER MY SON'S WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL

$

Dear Editors,

Please avoid this childcare at all cost. They have v poor management system. Now they refuse to pay me back the school fee deposit. I have submitted the withdrawal form and my son has stopped attending their hours for more than a month already(I did pay school fee for that mth).

I went down to the office and school several times to chase back the deposit and the principal(who is damn arrogant and rude!) told me will get the person in charge to give me a call the next day. The teachers said they will send me a letter regarding this matter.

Over November and December I received no response from them. Other childcare give the deposit back on the spot upon withdrawal or else they will give a specific date. We paid the deposit in cash before our kids can attend their school now ask them return us is so difficult.

Where should I make a complaint? Mcys?

PAP MP LOUIS NG WORKS ONE DAY AS A TOWN COUNCIL CLEANER

[My experience as a cleaner]

I've gained experience as a healthcare worker and as a driver previously. Today, I experienced what it was like to be a Town Council cleaner and I worked with Hanif, a Nee-Soon Town Council cleaner.

As Chairman of the Town Council, it's important for me to understand what's happening on the ground, see where the gaps are and where we can improve. It is also important for me to understand the difficulties our cleaners face. And so the best way to understand is to experience it first-hand, which I did today.

It was a physically exhausting experience but I also experienced something beautiful. I experienced how Hanif was clearly well-loved by the community and how he is so full of smiles. Residents smiled at him too, waved (from their houses, motorcycles, cars etc), shook hands, chatted, laughed, it was beautiful to see.

Thank you Hanif for giving me the opportunity to work with you today. Thank you for your hard work, your smiles and your patience. Thank you for ensuring we all have a clean environment to live in. Thank you!

MY 2ND DISASTROUS DATE WITH A SINGAPOREAN GIRL

$

Remember our failed dating "hero" from this story? He's back again with more cringe worthy details of his next attempt at dating!

Despite my previous failed date from an online app, I did not give up hope. So these few days, I have been chatting with this girl, let's call her Jamie, from the same online dating app. Both of us have been texting each other daily and I felt that she was starting to get comfortable with me. So, I finally decided to ask if she was okay with meeting up.

I gave her a call and started to make a bit of small chat first, then slowly and finally asking her if she would like to meet me on a weekend, which she agreed without hesitation. Through one of our previous conversations, I recalled that she had mentioned that her dad drives, especially on Sundays when her dad would bring the family out for dinner. So I suggested to her that since we are meeting on a sunday, if her dad give us a ride to the shopping centre, it would be more convenient than taking a public transport. There was a complete silence for about 5 seconds, before I begin to ask again "Umm hello, are you still on the line? So is it okay that your father give us a ride?". It took her like another 5 seconds of silence before she finally replied "Uhhh, I-I-I guess he wouldnt mind. I told her to arrive at my place at 5pm on that day to pick me up and the conversation ended shortly.

Sunday arrived, and as agreed, Jamie came with her her dad. I cannot hold back my astonishment when I saw her father's car, it was a BMW series 7! I made a circle around the car while making wow-ing sounds. To be honest, it was a very awkward ride as none of us talked. So I tried to break the silence by initiating a conversation with her dad "Hey uncle, your leather seats are very smooth and comfy, so how much you paid for this car?. Her father just gave a 2-worded reply "400k plus", and then the atmosphere went silent again. I started to suspect that these people are probably introverts, and decided not to make anymore chatter with them for the rest of the journey.

Finally, we arrived at the shopping centre. When we were about to alight the car, I politely asked Jamie's dad if he could sponsor us for the money for the movie. He turned to face me with a look of disbelief, my guess was that he didn't quite get what I had just said. So I explained to him "I am bringing your daughter out on a date today, and money don't fall from the sky, you know". At this moment, my date pushed opened the car door and exited the car without a word. I had my arm stretched out, implying that I was still waiting for him. He finally realised that he was holding me back, so he quickly pulled out his wallet and placed a $10 note on my hand. I pretended to clear my throat and murmured that the movie is going to be 2 hours long and we might get hungry inside the cinema. He gave a sigh before stacking another 2 pieces of $10 notes on my hand. I rolled my eyes and said sarcastically "Thanks ah, uncle. I will make the date for your daughter, a very meaningful one", and alighted the car

Jamie and I then made our way to the ticket booth to queue for tickets, I asked her what she would like to watch. But instead of replying me nicely, she gave me the annoyed look and replied "Anything lah!". But it's okay because I had everything under control, I calmly suggested that we watch a korean romantic movie and promised that she will definitely love it, and she replied with a silent nod. When it was finally our turn to get the tickets, I turned to her and ask "Umm, did your dad give you money for the movie? Because he only gave me enough for my ticket and some popcorn". I dont know what came over her, but she suddenly ran off in tears. And everyone around there were staring at me like I just committed a crime.

Of course, I did try calling and texting Jamie to come back, but I was totally ignored. Can someone tell me what went wrong?

PINAY FALSIFIED WORK PERMITS FOR OTHER FILIPINOS WORKING ILLEGALY IN S'PORE

$

0

A Pinay, Celeste Provido Apostol has been charged with making false declarations in several work pass applications, according to the Ministry of Manpower.

Celeste Provido Apostol, 36, was charged with 32 counts of making false declarations in work pass applications and a count of carrying out the activities of an employment agency without a licence, said the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in a news release. She pleaded guilty to 16 charges and the other 17 charges were taken into consideration during sentencing.

The Pinay who was working as a marketing manager in Singapore between 2009 and 2011, had helped foreigners obtain work permits for foreign domestic workers (FDW). However, the foreigners had no intention of working as FDWs. She worked with “recruiters” to look for these foreigners who wanted work permits to validate their stay in Singapore, as well as locals who were willing to provide their particulars as “employers” for monetary gain.

She had been helping foreigners illegally stay in Singapore by submitting work permits for them to be approved as maids. She would use the particulars she obtained to arrange for work pass application forms to be submitted to MOM between June 2009 and March 2013. In total, she found 27 foreigners and 21 locals to take part in the scam, and she collected between S$3,500 and S$4,000 from each foreigner. None of the work permit holders were found to be working as maids. Instead these illegal Pinoys were found working as performers, freelance cleaners and manicurists.

The foreigners involved in the scam were fined between S$3,000 and S$10,000, and sentenced to four weeks' jail. They will be sent home and permanently barred from working in Singapore according to the Ministry of Manpower. The locals who pretended to be bogus employers will be banned from hiring any foreign workers.

THE LONG OVERDUE DISCUSSION ON S'PORE'S DEFENCE POLICY

$
0
0

A glum looking enlistee awaiting enlistment has become a sensation in
cyberspace. But, the circulation of the picture and the memes involving it
should also re-open the debate on the conscription and defense policy adopted
by Singapore.

There have been people who view their time serving in the SAF, Police or
civil defense as meaningful and areas where they have gained experience. Some
see it as their personal responsibility to serve the country and repay her
for all the benefits enjoyed? But do all share the sentiment?

The problem with conscription is it is first and foremost a violation of
human rights. Conscription forces someone, against his or her will, to
partake in something which he/she does not necessarily agree to or in
something which most people would find unpleasant or unpopular. It is not a
hidden secret that military life and a heavily regimented lifestyle is tough.
That males in the prime of their lives are forced into this is simply and
clearly a violation of their will and their rights and dignity as human
beings.

I may sound like a wimp by saying this, but the fact stands. Not everyone is
able to handle the tough lifestyle in the military system. I think it is
cruel and unusual to force these people through this system. It is just as
cruel to call these people "soft" who need to be "man-ned up" by the system.
Other counter arguments would be that there are counselling and psychiatric
services available for these personnel and their PES status can be
downgraded, or they can even be released from service if their case warrants
so.

But the reality is, for first year or even first month enlistees, would any
of them dare to come up and report that they are facing psychological
difficulties? The case of the "fake PES F" and the "Ah Boys to Men chao keng
incident" would make many an impressionable new enlistee think twice about
reporting such cases, especially with the possibility of a malingering charge
hanging over their heads. Even if their case is finally referred to MINDEF's
psychiatric or counselling services, it would take about 3 weeks or more for
an appointment through which damage has already been done. There have been
cases where the case has been handles incompetently, like the case of one
enlistee, Ganesh.

A popularly asked question is, if Singapore's sons don't defend Singapore,
who would?

The question in response would be, to what extent do you think that the
conscripted armed forces Singapore will be able to defend Singapore? Those at
MINDEF would know that the whole bureaucracy in the SAF is one of the worst
in the entire civil service. Administrative personnel, especially if they are
enlistees, often face poor morale and lack motivation, in part due to the
fact that they were forced into what they are doing and paid poorly, often
sit on their work. It is not uncommon that a simple assignment such as
getting a medical appointment fixed or the transfer of certain paperwork
would take up to 6 months to complete, or never completed at all. There are
no uniform standards on administrative protocol. It is not an uncommon
scenario where one SAF personnel would give a completely different story on
how a certain procedure is to proceed from another. Take the case of PTE
Ganesh, where his medical records were not even handed over to his superior.
My brother had a medical condition which needed review and the administrative
personnel at CMPB simply sat on it for months until they were chased to fix a
date. Safety protocol mean that personnel, who have understood how the system
works, are able to easily miss training or operations due to claims of
illnesses, some of which are highly questionable. In spite of the glossy
propaganda of military personnel who take pride in serving their country and
taking time off their work to do so, many reservists are finding ways to
lower their PES status. A popular talk among enlistees is about plans of
running away from Singapore when war breaks out.

With such poor levels of motivation and morale among NSFs, their performance
in wartime would certainly be questionable. It is an open secret that most of
the chiefs in the SAF are products of the scholarship system. Products of it
are often fast tracked up the hierarchy, even to critical positions, that it
is often questioned whether they indeed possess the ability to conduct a war.
Rightfully so, given that the generals in critical positions, such as the
defence chiefs are and have been, by and large, scholars and are chosen over
a wider pool of generals, colonels and lieutenant colonels who were not
products of the scholarship system but have more years of experience in
service.

The argument of a small, vulnerable Singapore is questionable. If Malaysia or
Indonesia wanted to pick a country to attack, the first on the list would
have been oil rich Brunei. Why would Indonesia and Malaysia decide to wage a
war on Singapore for the sake of swallowing her up when both countries'
economic ties are close, with their citizens working on Singapore soil? Even
if there is a present day threat of Radical Islam, would that warrant a
large, conscripted force? If anything, hasn't the Iraq war taught the lesson
that in asymmetrical warfare, it is not regular armed forces that win the day
but sound intelligence and swift, decisive operations by special forces
instead of conventional tactics. If the PAP government does see the threat of
terrorism, why is it making the customs policy on Chinese nationals more
liberal? Is it not aware that Chinese nationals include Uighurs, some of whom
have been involved in terrorist activities such as the Bangkok bomb blast? Is
it not aware that Indonesia arrested a group of them attempting to join ISIS
in 2014?

The key to defence policy is, how strong is the attachment and the sense of
patriotism the people have to Singapore? Platitudes such as "Third world to
first", "clean efficient government" or "look at how much better Singapore is
compared to such and such country" will not work. People voted for the PAP en
masse in the last election not because they love or adore the PAP but rather
because of questions about the ability of opposition parties to run the
government, and a sense of gratitude to the largely inflated legacy of Lee
Kuan Yew, whose death coincided with SG 50, allowing the PAP to use the media
machinery to play on it. But such patriotism is superficial and not shared by
many. Once the SG 50 and Lee Kuan Yew sentiment wear off, the ruthless rat
race will take its toll once again. It will be the same struggle to survive
because there is simply no room for failure, knowing the social and financial
repercussions of beoming a "failure". The reality of expensive HDB flats,
possibility of higher GSTs and high transport fares will set in. People will
become frustrated, once again when they do not have the opportunity to have
their voices heard. The stifling environment would lead to intellectuals and
creative minds to seek other places where they can express themselves with
greater freedom than in Singapore. Patriotism will never be inculcated in the
long run when Singaporeans see Singapore as a place where they struggle in
this zero sum game until the day they die and where the government frequently
milks from them. It is difficult for people to call Singapore home when her
values are to stifle and discourage expression. It will be difficult for
military personnel to serve with pride when they are treated as objects to be
STOMPed, disrespected by Members of Parliament, coerced into service and paid
poorly. Instead of defending this sacred cow, a hard look and serious
discussion about defense policy is warranted.

CLEARING THE AIR ON NUDE MEDICAL PHOTOS? DO YOU THINK WE ARE FOOLS?

$

I refer to the 9 Jan 2015 Straits Times letter “clearing the air on nude medical photos by Dr Karen Sng, president of Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) surgeons and Dr Matthew Yeo (chairman of Chapter of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Sng and Dr Yeo likened taking off the undergarment while photographing a surgical area next to private parts with taking off the spectacles when photographing the facial area.

Dr Sng and Dr Yeo should not fool Singaporeans with false analogies. While the spectacles cover the face partially, the undergarment does not cover the surgical area next to the private part.

A better analogy is this: Photographing the face with a collared shirt on is okay because the collar, while adjacent to the face, does not cover the face.

Note: Whichever anology is used, shouldn't taking photographs of a private parts against their consent constitute an invasion of patient's privacy?

TEACHER: TIME TO STOP PAYING FOR SCHOOL STUFF OUT OF OUR POCKETS TO ENSURE "TRANSPARENCY"

<Facebook post by Subra>

Dear Teachers,

You don't have to feel so upset over the impending parking fees. It's a good move to be transparent to the public. Since the ministry wants to ensure that it doesn't give unsubsidized parking to ensure transparency, it's good to let MOE know that you should also stop paying for stuff out of your own pocket to ensure 'transparency' too. Some example of fees that you have been paying out of your own pocket:

1. Classroom deco, charts, notice board materials(excluding manpower and labour fees):$100 at least

2. Coming CNY, Hari Raya and Deepavali deco:$100-$300

3. Resources for teaching:$300(conservative estimate)

4. Remedials/supplementary/enrichment classes:$50 per hr(market rate for MOE tutors).

5. Prizes/gifts/McDonald/pizzahut/KFC treats to motivate students(varies from teacher)

6. Children's day gifts:$100-$200

7. OT pay for staying overnight at camps, Meet-the-parents sessions at night, meetings during school holidays, learning festivals on Saturdays and Sundays, organizing events for community/MP :$50 per hour

8. Premium fees for last minute instructions from MOE for example, calling parents from 10pm-12am on a Sunday night to inform them of school closure due to haze. $100per hour.

9. Other miscellaneous fees such as home internet or using your personal hp talk time/mobile data to conference with parents/HODs(not including OT pay for doing these after 6pm): $110 per month.

10. Transport fees to attend courses that you are 'nominated' to attend. You can't claim them currently as MOE have already SUBSIDIZED you to attend them.(not that you have any choice)

11. Labour fees for moving cupboards, tables and shelves in classroom/staffroom, cleaning students up after they poo/vomit:$20 per hour.

12. All the money you paid to replace faulty PE/music/art/ICT equipment on your own. Too lecheh to do AOR, ITQ, and then go through Gebiz and evaluation plus endless meetings with KP/AM/P just to get a pair of soccer gloves for your student.smile emoticon

13. Last but not least, fees for marking after 5pm each day, as no marking can be done before that due to meetings/CCAs/meeting parents/meeting vendors/meeting P: $50 per hour.

At the end of the day, is that season parking so difficult to afford? I don't think so. But the message that the sacrifices of teachers are not appreciated by MOE will have a greater cost than the revenue that it can collect from the season parking. Kudos to my ex-colleagues who are still believing in making a difference to the next generation.

SCOOT "DREAMLINER" IS SO DIRTY, I WILL NEVER FLY SCOOT AGAIN

Dear Editors,

I was on flight TZ021 today from Melb to SG. Your dreamliner boeing 787 is atrociously dirty. I am very disgusted by my my first experience with Flyscoot Biz.

I will never fly with scoot again. There was no priority for the scootbiz and ground crew patronise me after I sounded out that it should be improved. This happened in Melbourne.

When I am on the flight, a lot of dirt was found on my seat! This is absolutely unacceptable! Will you fly in scoot if your seat was like this? For 7 hours? Never fly with scoot again.

DRIVERS BEWARE OF ORANGE SPIKES WHEN IN MALAYSIA OR BE ROBBED

Dear ASS Editors,

If u see oranges or fruits when driving on Malaysian Highways, you must ensure u do not run over them, avoid at all cost. See the attached photos of oranges with steel nails stuck in them.

This is a tactic used by robbers in Malaysia. Once the nails burst the tyres and the car stop, robbers will take the chance to rob the unsuspecting car.

If u have burst tyres after running over unknown objects, stop by the side, lock the doors and call for help if u can. Look out for any suspicious vehicles that approach u.

SPEEDING CYCLIST KNOCKED DOWN BOY AT SERANGOON PARK CONNECTOR, OFFERS $10 MEDICAL FEES

$

<Complaint by Kasyln>

Dear all, please take serious note of this tragic incident. I am now typing this with a heavy heart and trembling fingers.

On 10/01/2016 (Sunday), at around 11.15am at the Serangoon Park Connector near the fitness corner towards Punggol (after Hougang Capeview), my 3-year old boy was knocked down by an extremely fast-riding cyclist (Chinese, standing at about 1.65m, in perhaps his forties, wearing full cyclist attire, and said he stays in Pasir Ris) riding a road bike who could not brake in time, despite my husband shouting for precaution when he was already a distance away and knocked into my son (who was about 2 arms' length in front of my hubby, and was walking over to the fitness corner).

The cyclist said that he could not stop, because his feet were clipped on (despite hearing my husband's shouting from afar). We do not know how that works but if so, then why was he even riding at such lightning speed where other people are? Why was he jeopardizing others' safety, for the sake of his own leisure?

At the point of time, the cyclist dismounted and apologized to my husband, who was the only one with my son. But my husband was in a shocked state of mind, did not have anything with him at all, and didn't know what to do or reply. My husband's mind was only filled with our son's injuries, and hence asked the cyclist if he has cash to spare since he had nothing with him. The cyclist then reluctantly offered my husband a mere $10 note, expecting us to bring our son to receive medical care. Then, he offered $20 more after some hesitation.

Eventually, he left without leaving a number or anything. Please help me to share, in order to find this cyclist. It is my son today, and can be anyone tomorrow. (There are many others who saw, and went forward to help my husband. If you are one of them, then please step up to help us by providing more details of the cyclist. If you are the cyclist, PLEASE. Have a heart and own up. We just want a peaceful closure.)

My heart has been shattered into a million pieces, and an ambulance has come to fetch my son. He is in a state of shock, his mouth is currently severely swollen with torn lips, cuts and ulcers in his mouth, cut on his chin, tooth got knocked off upon impact with other shaky teeth present, saliva and blood dripping constantly uncontrollably, forehead and knee cap suffering from abrasions. Please, share this post and help me. Thank you all.

*Update at 7pm* My boy is finally home from KK Hospital, but is unable to sleep or talk properly due to the pain, swellings, saliva/blood flowing out uncontrollably, and stitches. He is unable to eat or even chew, and is having difficulties consuming liquids through a straw. An x-ray has been done, with no bone damage found. Doctors have advised to monitor and return to the hospital for any issues, and for further follow-ups, as well as stitch removals. He also has not seen a dentist due to a tooth being knocked off upon impact and other shaky teeth, as that will have to wait till Tuesday.

*Update at 11pm* We sincerely wish to thank the Singapore Police Force (AMK/HG division), Lianhe Wanbao, Mr. Victor Lye, and our son's school for volunteering their help and to drop by in order to understand more regarding this incident. Also wish to thank our families and friends, who were there for us and helped us through this difficult period. Unfortunately, the National Parks Board has mentioned that there are no CCTVs in that area.

Please also take note that the main purpose of this post is to serve as a painful reminder to everyone- Cyclists or not. It is not to defame the cyclist. People have to know that it is never okay to risk others' safety at any point of time. Thank you.

EX-WP CANDIDATE: PRITAM SINGH IS A CLOWN FOR SUGGESTING MINDEF ALSO CHARGE FOR PARKING

$

Another clown from the WP side. Made such comparison without thinking.

By making NSMen to pay for parking space in camps is totally a bad idea. Firstly, most camps do have parking lots reserved for NSMen to park their vehicles during their call-ups. Do Mr Pritam Singh or WP do their call-ups before? Army camps are mostly situated away from any sights of residential or industrial areas. If many NSMen have to park their vehicles hundreds of metres away from the camps, they may jammed up the nearby parking spaces.

Secondly, have he or WP made a comparison of the number of vehicle parked in camps and schools?
In schools, the staffs that parked their vehicles are just a small fraction of estimated 20 vehicles. However in camps provided when thereare call-ups the number of vehicles parked could be more than 50 to 100 vehicles. MOST of the NSMen pooled their vehicles to reach to the camps.

Now more and more clowns are talking points without having considerations to the People. Mr Pritam Singh and WP is now showing that they are just incapable in having "debates" for the People. Next GE, WP Aljunied may fall completely with such clowns voted in.
